My Poetry
Like it or not, I write poetry. Take a few minutes and relax...... go ahead, read some.
Alleycat
Pretty kitty, oh so fine
I'll take you home and make you mine
I'll pick you up, take you away
So you can see a better day
I'll take you to the vet's office
And hope that you won't claw and hiss
I'll take you home, give you a bath
And then taste your wet kitty wrath
I'll dry you, feed you, put you to bed
So you can rest your little head
Hey, baby, you've had a big day
I hope you like your life this way
I'm so happy, I'm so proud
To watch you sleep and purr out loud
And as I look I finally see
That someone made a difference: me!
I can't heed every kitten's cry
But at least I helped this little guy
I hope he's really happy that
He's no longer an alleycat.
I'll take you home and make you mine
I'll pick you up, take you away
So you can see a better day
I'll take you to the vet's office
And hope that you won't claw and hiss
I'll take you home, give you a bath
And then taste your wet kitty wrath
I'll dry you, feed you, put you to bed
So you can rest your little head
Hey, baby, you've had a big day
I hope you like your life this way
I'm so happy, I'm so proud
To watch you sleep and purr out loud
And as I look I finally see
That someone made a difference: me!
I can't heed every kitten's cry
But at least I helped this little guy
I hope he's really happy that
He's no longer an alleycat.
True Love
True love is just a thing, they say, Of myth and fairy tale
But do they ever really say
What true love does entail?
I think I have found true love
It's not that hard to see
When we spend time with ones so close
Called 'Friends' and 'Family'!
Red
Red can be a gentle rose A passion through the highs and lows
A soft blush when he takes your hand
Or courage to help you make a stand
Red is the color of love and life
A sign of joy or a sign of strife
A thought of him that makes you sigh
A fierce and mighty battle cry
When you fell you'll never say goodbye
When you know you'll fight until you die
When you know you have an eternal friend.
When you won't give up until the end.
Fantasy
Take me far away from here Away from sorrow, pain, and fear
Anger, jealousy, envy, hate
Quick, before it is too late!
Death is all around us, friend
Why can't this sad violence end?
All I want is malice towards none
All I want is to have some fun!
I don't want anyone to hate
But I can't cause a twist of fate
This will continue till we see
That hate does no good for you and me.
Fantasy, it's meant for me
Why can't you people just plain see?
A life away from truth so cruel
Away from faes mean and cool
In my spare time I truly dream
Of when my efforts I redeem
And I shall get, just wait and see
My fair share of fantasy!
Dracula
His fangs flash in the soft moonlight Longer than normal, a brilliant white
He grinned at the sight before his eyes
The village was in for a big surprise
He raised his wings, black as the night
And searched for another victim to bite
He spotted her in a dark alleyway
Too scared to go home, awaiting the day
He landed behind her, his feet touched the ground
She froze, terrified, she dared not turn around
The girl grabbed out a dagger from under her sash
A move, to the dead, that was just, at most, rash
He knocked the dagger from her trembling grasp
She backed away with a startled gasp
She looked upon the face of her fears
And tried to hold back a river of tears
Her luck always followed this damning trend
She was sure her life was about to end
A single tear slid down her face
And in his heart it found a place
He sighs and folds his wings gently
<<<What has this child done to me?>>>
She hardly breathes, severely confused
<<<Is this just one of his tricks?>>> she mused
He sensed her thoughts and shook his head
"If it was, dear girl, you'd already be dead."
She jumped at this, his hidden skill
Then noticed he was smiling. Still,
She backed away when he came near
His motives, to her, were still unclear
He dissappeared in a cloud of black smoke
But before he solidified, he spoke
"Sweet child, fear not, I mean you no harm."
Then he reappeared and touched her arm
She shivered and looked up at his face
He saw this, and held her in an embrace
And as his body kept her warm
She knew then that he would do her no harm
He took her hand and escorted her home
And protected her from those who roam
In search of those defensless and weak
For it is their money and treasures they seek
When they reached her house he kissed her hand
And slipped on her finger a silver band
"If ever someone wants to fight
Call out my name and they'll feel my bite."
And as he flew into the skies
He did not seem to realize
He had her life and let it go
When she let her emotions show
Her troubles now would seem to end
For she had finally found a friend.
